National Taiwan University
Today I finally understood how much National Taiwan University (NTU) didn’t like me.
As soon as I walked out of the metro station, it rained like cats and dogs. It was the first in 2 weeks. I bought a cheap umbrella from the first vendor I saw and headed for the nearby noodle house. When I arrived at the noodle house, the rained magically stopped. Just like that.
After finishing my lunch, I walked towards NTU and took photos of its tiny front gate. We tease that NTU’s tiny entrance makes it so hard to get in, but deep down we all know why. Strangely, people that I hang out with all coming from NTU: my sister, my best friend and her husband. Why is that? It’s definitely not in my plan.
Shortly after passing through NTU’s tiny front gate, the rain started pouring on me. In fact, it rained so hard that I wondered if the cheap umbrella could survive. And it rained and rained and rained… No sign of stopping whatsoever. I thought it might cool the campus down, but I only felt that someone threw me in a steam sauna. Well, I got stubborn and managed to reach the general library at the end of Royal Palm Boulevard and turned back. When I was about to walk out of NTU’s territory, the sun came out as if nothing had happened. Freaky!
