Nadia, The Chinese Princess

nadia.jpg
Nadia, Adam & Ilena’s adorable little daughter. (OK, don’t judge my words from this drawing.) A future supermodel and CEO. She has the amazing grasp of dressing herself without relying on any fashion magazines, and at age 2 and a half, she already attempted to trade her baby bike with a stranger’s Mini.

BTW, Nadia is NOT Chinese. When we visit Adam’s family last December, we brought her a red Chinese silk dress and a pair of red Chinese Mary Jane. When she saw them, she went nuts! She immediately took her clothes off and asked Ilena to help her put them on. Then she danced around and around, and announced, “I am a Chinese princess! I am a Chinese princess!” Well, we had no idea how she knew that it was a Chinese dress! We weren’t sure if she even knew what “Chinese” meant!

Sometimes I wonder if she sneaked her last life’s brain into this life; otherwise, how was she able to respond situations far wiser than her age allows?

一個人的快樂,
不是因為他擁有得多,
而是因為他計較得少。
Heaven/Nirvana is not a place but a condition.
