The Birds & The Squirrels Take a Bite

As we were ready to take a stroll around our neighborhood, we found something very upsetting — 4 plums were knocked down by squirrels. They got so much guts that they even spit out the plum skin all over the lawn! 臭松鼠不只偷吃李子, 李子皮還吐得到處都是!

Some drastic measure has to be put in order. David placed some sticky tape on the truck, to make it hard for those rats to attack more of our plums. After that, we went for our walk and put all the unhappy incident behind. 石頭在李子樹幹上貼膠布, 來擋一擋臭松鼠.

When we got home, we found a couple more got knocked down. And from the shape of their openings, we determined that birds were involved as well. Well, the trunk tape won’t do much good to discourage those flying rats, so David had to mask our plum tree with a net, which, unfortunately, is not big enough to cover the whole tree. Hopefully birds will get the idea and leave our plums alone. *cross my fingers* 鳥也偷吃我們的李子! 石頭只好忙著布網, 只是網子不夠大…

As we checked our plums, we found that one of my models was already knocked down by birds, and my favorite one (the one on the right) was already attacked. Very sad. 我的李子模特兒們, 一顆已經被臭鳥打落, 而我最喜歡的一顆也早被牠們捷足先登了…
