Good Eats

Our apricot tree has been producing plenty of sweet, juicy apricots (杏桃) these days. Unlike the plum tree, which was attacked heavily by both birds and squirrels, it has been left pretty much free. Every time we go out to pick up those little cute fruit, we come back with a dozen or so. It’s a very satisfying feeling! ![]()

Even though our blueberry (小藍梅) bush isn’t as productive as the others, it’s doing just fine by its own standard and at its own pace.

Hmmm… Those look more like nectarines than apricots?

Well, someone was confused apricots with nectarines. She was working very hard to trim the leaves in order to help those apricots turning pink. Until one day she visited her local Safeway and finally realized why her nectarines stopped growing bigger and started turning orange.
