Our neighbor Ingrid found this thing between our and Michel’s house and thought that I would be interested in taking a photo of it. But none of us had any idea what this is.

well I know the name This is a bergamot. At least a kind of bergamot. Bergamot is a fruit among the orange family (like lemon, mandalin, grapefruit,…).

Looks like the consensus is a mutant Sweetgum fruit where several of the pods have grown together.
