My Favorite Breakfast

My favorite breakfast is shown on the left! This is one of the things that makes me very happy about going back to Taiwan. And unlike other meals, having the same breakfast everyday does not bother me a bit.
This one is called “Chinese breakfast” and it contains a pancake with fried egg, a turnip rice cake, and milk tea. I know that it doesn’t look that pretty, but, trust me, it tastes really good! The sweet soy sauce marries well with the pancake and turnip rice cake; I always ask the owner to give me extra sauce just because it’s so tasty.

Actually the milk tea I can do without, and Oolong or green tea would work much better in this case. However, this little breakfast place only provides black tea and coffee, so I’d better adapt it.

And the whole meal is only $1.60! You gotta love it!

P.S. After not seeing me for almost 9 months, the owner said to me, “Eh? I haven’t seen you for a long time!”
