Bakery Cake (留乃堂)

My sister’s friend dropped off a box of chocolate donuts from the right donut shop — Bakery Cake (留乃堂)! YEAH!! |

See all the cute donuts printed on the box? |

Bakery Cake’s box seemed kinda crammed for 6 donuts, unlike Mister Donut’s, plenty of room for 5. |

Voila, the donut with crispy chocolate coating! |

See how chewy it was? Actually Mister Donut’s texture was like this, too, but its flavor couldn’t compete with Bakery Cake’s, neither could its price. |
[02/24/2008 Update] I smuggled one donut back for David; he liked it but thought that it was too small. Maybe this would give him more motivation to go visit Taiwan again!

Yeah. We haven’t met anyone who could resist the charm of the “right” donut. Even my folks (including my 85-year-old grandma) who never liked any sweets fought over them. Just tell David – fresh ones taste even better! Would love to have him come and visit again any time!
